The Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association collects information that you voluntarily provide when interacting with our website. This includes information submitted through membership applications, event registration forms, contact forms, newsletter sign-up forms, job board postings, and scholarship applications. The types of information collected may include your name, business name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and professional credentials.
When you make a payment for membership dues, event registration, or other services, payment information is collected and processed securely by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. INLA does not store credit card numbers or full payment details on our servers.
We use the information we collect to process membership applications and renewals, register attendees for events and educational programs, communicate with members about association news, events, and industry updates, administer scholarship and awards programs, manage the careers and job board section, and respond to inquiries submitted through our contact forms.
INLA uses Mailchimp to manage our email newsletter and member communications. When you subscribe to our mailing list or become a member, your email address is added to our Mailchimp account. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. Transactional emails related to membership, event registration, or account activity may still be sent as necessary.
We use the following third-party services to operate our website and association programs:
Stripe processes all online payments securely. Their handling of your payment information is governed by their own privacy policy. Mailchimp manages our email communications and newsletter distribution. Google Analytics may be used to understand website traffic patterns and improve user experience. No personally identifiable information is shared with analytics providers beyond anonymized usage data.
INLA takes reasonable measures to protect the information you provide from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our website uses SSL encryption for data transmission. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including membership records, event participation history, and communication preferences. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove your information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as financial record-keeping.
Indiana residents have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about them, request correction of inaccurate information, and request deletion of their data subject to applicable exceptions. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what information is collected and the right to opt out of data sales. INLA does not sell personal information to third parties.
Our website is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
INLA may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
